Winery Masser
Close to nature, tangible, authentic
In Styria’s largest wine-growing community, nestled between vineyards, forests and sweeping views, the Masser family has been cultivating its vineyards around Leutschach for generations.
With a keen sense of provenance, soil and grape variety, they produce wines with depth, character and precision.
The winery works largely organically and with reduced interventionism. The focus is on varietal typicity, site character and a balanced style that makes origin drinkable.
‘Die Masserei’ – the winery’s own pop-up wine tavern – exemplifies the house’s philosophy: think modern, stay rooted in tradition, bring people together.
Embassy wine:
Morillon Leutschach 2023 DAC
This Ortswein is a declaration of love for the Leutschach hillside landscape. Grown on calcareous soils, it accurately reflects the climate and soils of the region.
In the glass, Morillon Leutschach is complex and structured: subtle roasted aromas, ripe yellow fruit, delicate spice and a hint of nut. Calm but present on the palate – with lively acidity, clear texture and a salty finish.
A wine with provenance, character and potential – made to last.
Alc. 12.5% vol., acidity 5.5 g/l, residual sugar 2 g/l
