Art, wine & encounters: Embassies of Art-week of events is about to begin

Next week is the big moment: eleven young artists from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Lithuania, Poland, Kazakhstan, Côte d’Ivoire, and Austria will arrive in southwestern Styria to spend a week living, working, and taking photographs at eight wineries, drawing inspiration from the landscape, light, and people.

From November 3 to 8, 2025, the “Kulturbotschaften Südsteiermark – Embassies of Art” will transform the region into a living studio. Under the theme “Essence of Southern Styria,” photographic works will be created that reveal the special character of the region in a new way.

Experience art at the Open Days

On Thursday, November 6, and Friday, November 7, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. each day, the participating wineries will open their doors to visitors. During the Open Days, interested parties can meet the artists in person, take a look at their studios, taste the embassy wines, and enjoy culinary surprises.
